A lot of people who upgrade their computers find that their printer/ scanner/ cameras stop working. This is generally due to using the driver (a small programme which tells your computer about your device) from their previous system or in quite a few cases, the wrong driver. I can check all your PC drivers to check they are working and that they are the correct driver. Even if you have lost the driver CD I will be able to download and install the correct driver for your device.


Another common problem is modems. Internal modems can often develop problems which stop you logging on to the internet. There are a number of tests I can perform to solve this and get you up and running again. The other main modem headache is when people go from a dial up account to broadband. This means buying (or more commonly being given) a USB modem and the setting up this entails. I can set all this up for you and explain how everything works

More recently, alot of people are opting for wireless routers, these can be very awkward to set up. I can set the router up for you, check your computer can wirelessly connect and set a passwork so that only youself can access the network
